Student Website Use

The Art Institutes allows students to publish coursework, research and related content on web space provided by the institution. Access to the Art Institute web space resource is provided to students with the expectation of responsible and acceptable use. Users must adhere to legal and ethical standards governing copyright and intellectual property and webpages that advocate hate, hostility, or violence, or contain offensive material, will be suspended immediately. You must have permission from the copyright holder through a release form to use text, graphics or media files from another site and a release form to post personal photos or personal contact information from another person on your site. Web pages may not be used to promote businesses, goods or services; for advertising; or to provide financial gain for any individual or organization. Personal pages must not convey the impression that the author is representing, giving opinions, or otherwise making statements on behalf of the university or any unit of the university.

If the website remains inactive (no posted activity) for a period of one year, it will be deleted without notification.

Faculty Website Use

The Art Institutes allows faculty members to create teaching and instructional focused content on web space provided by the institution. Access to the Art Institute web space resource is provided to students with the expectation of responsible and acceptable use. Users must adhere to legal and ethical standards governing copyright and intellectual property and webpages that advocate hate, hostility, or violence, or contain offensive material, will be suspended immediately.

Your Art Institute server account is for educational, teaching and research purposes only. Your account will be suspended if you use your personal site for commercial purposes. Faculty are responsible for the accuracy of the information published on their personal pages.

The Art Institute faculty web pages may contain links to web pages created by sources outside the University, although the existence of these links does not suggest that the University approves or endorses the content of these web pages.
